You may be well aware that during the Conference of Parties (COP21), India committed to adopt a climate friendly and cleaner path for economic development. India has taken various initiatives at government level.  India’s NDC builds on its goal of installing 1,75,000 megawatts of renewable power capacity by 2022. Further, India has an ambitious target of 4,50,000 megawatts renewable capacity by 2030.India is committed to reducing Green House Gas (GHG) emission intensity up to 33-35% by 2030 from the 2005 level and to achieve about 40 percent cumulative electric power installed capacity from non-fossil fuel-based energy resources by 2030.

Keeping in view of the above, the Engg Activity Committee & Innovation  Incubation Centre, under the aegis of the Renewable Energy Society of India (RESI), is going to organize a Technical Session on "Renewable Energy: Next Alternative Source” to explore the the new opprtunities in Renewable Energy Sources.
