Green Hydrogen Convergence Council

The RESI–Green Hydrogen Convergence Council is a strategic leadership body created to guide, coordinate, and accelerate India’s transition toward a green hydrogen‑powered future. Positioned at the intersection of policy, technology, and industry transformation, the Council brings together senior experts, institutional leaders, innovators, and practitioners to drive convergence across the entire green hydrogen ecosystem. Its mission is to ensure that India’s green hydrogen efforts evolve in a coherent, integrated, and future‑oriented manner, aligned with national priorities and global sustainability goals.
The Convergence Council focuses on unifying diverse strands of work—ranging from renewable energy integration and electrolyser manufacturing to storage, transport, industrial applications, and export readiness. By fostering alignment across ministries, research bodies, industry associations, and state‑level agencies, the Council ensures that India’s green hydrogen initiatives progress with clarity, coordination, and strategic direction. It also plays a pivotal role in identifying emerging opportunities, addressing systemic challenges, and recommending pathways for scaling up green hydrogen adoption across sectors such as steel, fertilisers, mobility, shipping, and distributed energy.
A core function of the Council is to provide thought leadership on standards, safety, certification, and regulatory frameworks. RESI–Hydrogen Synergy Forum
The RESI–Hydrogen Synergy Forum is a dedicated national platform established to accelerate collaboration between industry, academia, research institutions, and technology developers in the emerging green hydrogen ecosystem. As India advances toward large‑scale deployment under the National Green Hydrogen Mission, the need for a structured, knowledge‑driven, and partnership‑oriented forum has never been greater. The Hydrogen Synergy Forum serves as a catalytic bridge, bringing together diverse stakeholders to co‑create solutions, share insights, and harmonize efforts across the hydrogen value chain.
The Forum focuses on fostering synergy across production technologies, storage systems, transportation pathways, end‑use applications, safety frameworks, and workforce development. It provides a structured environment for dialogue on electrolyser innovation, renewable‑hydrogen integration, industrial decarbonisation, and emerging opportunities in mobility, chemicals, steel, and distributed energy systems. By enabling cross‑sectoral engagement, the Forum supports the development of indigenous technologies, promotes standardisation, and encourages the adoption of global best practices tailored to India’s unique energy landscape.
