Quiz & Debate Competition on "अक्षय ऊर्जा दिवस (Akshay Urja Diwas) | Renewable Energy Day

ree

Energy demand is set to rise from 11% to over 20% by 2040, according to the International Energy Agency (IEA). Many of the world's largest oil companies are increasingly diversifying their portfolios by investing in solar and wind power production. Global energy demand is undergoing a massive change. The World Economic Forum predicts India's renewable energy investment would skyrocket in the near future as a result of its participation in the Paris Climate Agreement.

The right legislative framework, continuous financial inflow, and breakthrough technology would allow India to achieve 175 GW even before 2022 and 450 GW by 2030. Recently, the cumulative Renewable Energy installed capacity of India crossed the figure of 100 GW without large hydro and another 50 GW is in the pipeline of commissioning.

Keeping in view of the above, the Engg Activity Committee & Innovation Incubation Centre, under the aegis of the Renewable Energy Society of India (RESI), was organized a Live Quiz & Debate Competition and Session on "अक्षय ऊर्जा दिवस (Akshay Urja Diwas) | Renewable Energy Day” to explore the new opportunities in Renewable Energy Sources and collaboration with various organizations. The session brings together experts from different segments to discuss the key action points needed in order to make the outcome into reality.
